The old website no longer joined the company. A website with which we can serve more (potential) customers!
The challenge was mainly to draw the target groups through personas, the entire process and the customer journey that accompanies them.
The assignment was clear: Develop a modern, simple company website that supports and strengthens the new positioning and communication theme – "DEDICATED TO THE EXTREME"! Smit Lamnalco has a large, global maritime expertise and is specialized to operate in complex conditions. Traditionally, the company and the industry are accustomed to communicating by setting the ' ships ' at the centre. The new positioning focuses on the people and the experience and secondary on the ships.
The obsolete website did not radiate enough and did not show what they stand for. It was time for a new, powerful course. With the new website the brand Smit Lamnalco had to be strengthened. The customer had no marketing team in need of a website that stands and which, without much input, tells the whole story.
Redkiwi cared for this project in advance the concept. During the work sessions it became clear how to set up the design. A boundary condition here was a lot of image, little text. The entire site is built entirely internally by Redkiwi, both the design, the front end and the back-end. The challenge was in the usability of the customer. The site will go live in different languages. The front-end for the Arab site is built entirely from right to left. The company logo, menu, scroll down and text are mirrored relative to the sites in other languages.
The accessible back-end makes the site very well manageable. With a relatively small budget and few construction hours, a very extensive website has been built which tells the whole story of Smit Lamnalco. Oudshoorn agrees that "we are very satisfied with the whole project. The content and time schedule of the project were well managed. From beginning to end, clear agreements were made and communication from the project manager of Redkiwi was clear. "

This branding website is conspicuously different from that of their competitors, so the site within the industry is huge. The very fast website contributes to the image of Smit Lamnalco. The global maritime expertise and the human side of the company are clearly conveyed. For the press, investors, partners and potentially new employees, this worldwide-leading operating image is of unprecedented value. Ultimately, it is not about the impressive ships, machines and statistics, but about the work of the employees. They determine the success and make the difference, also at this branding website.
